Abstract:
Traditional modes of study have been characterized by mugging, including the occasional urge to come up with a better version of notes than the ones provided by various educational institutions. Scientific studies1 have shown that students retain at least 20% of the information that they write down, compared to when they listen or read, where they can learn nothing while engaging in daydreaming or staring blankly2. More recently, the advancement of technology has provided alternative forms of methods to taking notes which more students are using. This study aims to investigate the effects on these trends on mugging efficiency of students.
